In April 1923, Seiji Kato (first president of Okasan Securities Co., Ltd.) founded the Okasan Company in Kyoguchi-machi, Tsu City, Mie Prefecture. The company was reorganized and incorporated on August 25, 1944, when it became Okasan Securities Co., Ltd. In October 2003, Okasan Holdings, Inc., was renamed in line with the transformation of the company into the holding company system. In October 2008, the company name was changed to Okasan Securities Group Inc.

October 1964 Established Japan Investment Trust Management Co., Ltd.
October 1965 Transferred Head Office to Nihonbashi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo
April 1968 Received business license following revisions to the Japanese Securities and Exchange Law
June 1973 Listed Company shares on the Second Section of both the Tokyo Stock Exchange and the Osaka Securities Exchange
November 1975 Listed Company shares on the First Section of both the Tokyo Stock Exchange and the Osaka Securities Exchange
December 1976 Established Okasan International (Asia) Ltd.
August 1978 Listed Company shares on the First Section of the Nagoya Stock Exchange
July 1980 Established Okasan Information Services Co., Ltd. (currently, Okasan Information Systems Co., Ltd.)
August 1981 Established Okasan Economic Research Institute Co., Ltd.
April 1983 Established Okasan Finance Co., Ltd. (Currently, Okasan Venture Capital Co., Ltd.)
October 1983 Became full member of the Fukuoka Stock Exchange
September 1984 Established Okasan Capital Management Co., Ltd.
June 1988 Became full member of the Sapporo Securities Exchange
March 1996 Established Okasan Business Service Co., Ltd.
December 1997 Opened Okasan Trading Center
July 1998 Opened New York Representative Office
December 1998 Security Operation Registration obtained in accordance with The Securities and Exchange Law
October 2003 With the transition to a holding company, the company name was changed to Okasan Holdings, Inc. The securities business was transferred to the newly established Okasan Securities Co., Ltd.
July 2005 Merged to form Shanghai Okasan-Huada Computer System Co., Ltd. from Okasan Information Systems Co., Ltd. and East China Normal University in China
January 2006 Established Okasan Online Securities Co., Ltd.
December 2007 Okasan Venture Capital Co., Ltd. has been dissolved
April 2008 Our subsidiary Okasan Securities Co., Ltd. has bought out Okasan Economic Research Co., Ltd., another subsidiary.
April 2008 Japan Investment Trust Management Co., Ltd. and Okasan Capital Management Co., Ltd., both subsidiaries, merged to become Okasan Asset Management Co., Ltd.
October 2008 The company name was changed to Okasan Securities Group Inc.
April 2010 Rokuni Securities Co., Ltd. and Oishi Securities Co., Ltd., both subsidiaries, merged to become Sanen Securities Co., Ltd.
January 2011 Opened Muromachi Head Office , and relocated Head Office functions.
July 2012 Shinwa Securities Co., Ltd. became a subsidiary of Marufuku Securities Co., Ltd.
January 2013 Marufuku Securities Co., Ltd. merged with Shinwa Securities Co., Ltd.
April 2014 Marufuku Securities Co., Ltd. changed the company name to Okasan Niigata Securities Co., Ltd.
September 2018 Established Okasan Capital Partners Co., Ltd.
March 2021 Merged Securities Japan, Inc.
January 2022 Business integration between Okasan Securities Co., Ltd. and Okasan Online Securities Co., Ltd.
April 2022 Transit to the Prime Market in the Tokyo Stock Exchange in accordance with the restructuring of market segments.
Transit to the Premier Market in the Nagoya Stock Exchange in accordance with the restructuring of market segments.
